In January 2009 MYTV launched as Cambodia’s first-everyouth channel and it launched with Cambodia’s first-ever live reality television programme, Cellcard Star. Cellcard Star was a huge success. Thousands of Cambodia’s young people attendedthe live weekly concerts at Phnom Penh’s Chenla Theatre and tens of thousands more cast their SMS votes to choose who would take out the grand prize.
These were activities that they perform on the stage at CHENLA.
This was the only one occasion that they will pass or fail from their voting.
VOICE AND DANCE COACHTING WILL BE AVAILABLE EACH WEEK
Since the final concert and vote at Chenla Theatre on Sunday April 12, 2009 Cambodians have seen the original Cellcard Star contestants become stars in their own right. In programmes on MYTV such as My Call and on Cambodia’s undisputed number one broadcaster CTN and with the release of their own CD.
